Campaign for Safer Roads in Sierra Leone

In 2012, As a World Bank Consultant I was involved in the process of reviewing Traffic Regulations and Plans to improve driver education, testing and certification in Kenya. This led to the establishment of the National Transport and Road Safety Authority in 2013 as the lead agency for all matters relating to road transport management, regulation and enforcement. A similar process is at hand in Sierra Leone but requires the political will, cooperation and collaboration from all the agencies responsible for Traffic Management and Road Safety Regulation.

We are urging the Government and these authority to make road safety a priority and we can gain valuable experience from the Kenya National Transport and Safety Authority as reported in the article below
